The Team

TABLETOP is a family affair.

We're two brothers and their spouses — Jason & Joe, Adam & Lucy. After a decade on separate continents, the four of us have reunited in London to make films on our own terms.

ADAM BAILEY | CO-DIRECTOR

A British-Canadian filmmaker and creative director with an MFA in screenwriting from the AFI Conservatory. He has led teams at Twitter, Chiat/Day, and Squarespace where his brand films and commercials won multiple Cannes Lions, D&ADs, and an esteemed spot on TIFF's list of The Most Essential Work in Canadian Cinema History. Originally from the Canadian prairies, Adam is based in London and Los Angeles with his wife and writing partner Lucy Mastrullo.

JASON BAILEY | CO-DIRECTOR

A British photographer and motion director, Jason’s specialized approach blends highly technical lighting, set design craft, and vibrant environments to create expressive visual narratives. His work is internationally acclaimed, winning 1st Prize at the 2024 International Photography Awards and being named Commercial Photographer of the Year by the British Photography Awards. Jason is based in Hackney and one of the many perks of his job has been the opportunity to collaborate professionally with his husband and co-dog-parent Joe McCanta.

LUCY MASTRULLO | CO-WRITER

An Italian-Canadian writer and filmmaker. In 2021 Lucy was accepted to the prestigious MFA program at the American Film Institute Conservatory specializing in screenwriting. Her short film MIS-ALIGNMENT premiered at Hollywood’s TCL Chinese Theater and went on to to receive acclaim on the 2024 festival circuit, winning multiple awards including Best Narrative Short and Best Student Film. After experimenting with building her creative career across Toronto, Seattle, and Los Angeles, Lucy is now based in London with her husband and writing partner Adam.

JOE McCANTA | PRODUCER

Joe McCanta is an artist and producer whose passion for storytelling has carried him from solo piano performances at smokey jazz venues to leading global brand teams at some of the world’s most prestigious events.  After studying music under seventeen-time Grammy nominee Fred Hersch at the New England Conservatory of Music, Joe's creative journey led him to co-found Semi-Precious Weapons (who would go on to open for Lady Gaga) and to produce Helen Stratford’s one-woman show in New York City. Based in Hackney with his husband and collaborator Jason Bailey, Joe approaches filmmaking with the same dedication to emotional authenticity that has defined his eclectic and creative career.
